Retail Store Manager (Coon Rapids)


About the job
The Retail Store Manager (RSM) is responsible for the success of the store operations. Success is measured based on the quality of customer service, leadership of retail team, store culture, employee engagement and sales goals. Retail Store Manager is also responsible for holding the team accountable to adhere to company policies and resolve customer issues.

Specific expectations in this leadership role include:

Leadership:
- Lead from the front by being proficient in all aspects of the store. Lead by positive example.
- Maintain appropriate staffing, ensure that retail team members have the necessary training and tools needed to be successful in their roles.
- Develop clear guidance and goals with retail team members to achieve within their roles in the store.
- Build a culture of ownership and teamwork.
- Empower the team to make decisions and carry out responsibilities.
- Communicate to the Vice President of Sales in timely manner any issues that require executive team attention.

Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and implement plans for presenting and merchandising store product.
- Work to build customer connections​; resolve escalated customer service issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director regarding sales programs.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales related to inventory planning.

Processes and Systems:
- Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and transactions are handled correctly. Maintain clear records of overages and shortages in tills for submission to the accounting department.
- Maintain physical plant and ensure compliance with all safety and best practices.

Human Resources:
- Work with the Human Resource manager and the LP to ensure that all issues within their domains are being addressed appropriately.
- Perform periodic performance evaluations for each retail team member, and collaboratively develop growth plans as needed. When interventions are necessary, create a Performance Improvement Plan that is action orientated. Participate in employee termination processes as needed. Maintain highest level of documentation regarding personnel matters.


Assistant Store Manager (Coon Rapids, Woodbury)


Who's our ideal candidate?
Great question. We want someone with retail and sales experience. He or she needs to be a closer who isn't afraid to talk to people and win them over. And if you're not a fan of getting your hands a little dirty. . . don't apply. We want someone who can help us continue to transform our store into a home improvement heaven.

How much are we paying?
Another good question. You'll start at $35k - $40k (DOE). There's also an opportunity for company-wide bonuses after 6 months.

How many hours per week is the position?
We're looking for one, full-time hire. Our hours are Monday - Sunday, 9am - 7:30pm. We are scheduling all full-time employees on 4, 10-hour shifts each week. You must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays (as needed).

What are the general responsibilities of this role?
- Open/close store
- Daily deposits
- Manage retail staff
- Facilitate customer complaints/disputes
- Manage projects throughout the store

What are the basic requirements of this role?
- High school education or equivalent
- Basic computer, internet and math skills
- Previous retail/sales/customer service management experience preferred
- General knowledge of home improvement products a plus
- Be able to stand on feet for entire shift and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong verbal skills
- Forklift experience

Retail Sales Associate (Full-Time, All Stores)

Great question. We want someone with retail and sales experience. He or she needs to be a closer who isn't afraid to talk to people and win them over. And if you're not a fan of getting your hands a little dirty. . . don't apply. We want someone who can help us continue to transform our store into a home improvement heaven.

How much are we paying?
Another good question. You'll start at $13.50 - $14.50/hour (DOE) with $2/hour bonus pay on weekends. There's also an opportunity for company-wide bonuses after 6 months.

We're looking for candidates who want a full-time position. Our hours are Monday - Sunday, 9am - 7:30pm. We are scheduling all full-time employees on 4, 10-hour shifts each week. You must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays (as needed).
